The project
Sitidoctor is a mobile application that facilitates access and connections between patients and a broad, prestigious, and qualified network of healthcare professionals. It also seeks to improve users' quality of life by offering healthcare-focused services such as medical services, a wellness portal, and virtual triage, among others. For physicians, it is the ideal tool for securely and reliably managing and increasing private consultations and their income.
Results with the tool used with Google Maps Platform
- Google Maps Platform supports the geolocation strategy for information, and its APIs make it easy for users to locate healthcare professionals.

- APP Engine: It has enabled the rapid, efficient development and deployment of web applications, also providing automatic scaling without having to worry about infrastructure. CloudStorage: It offers a globally scalable, highly available object storage service that lets us integrate different types of storage into a single API, easily optimizing the price-performance ratio.
- CloudSql: Provides easy instance management with the option to deploy them in different regions and zones.
- Firebase: Makes it easy to share data in real time, send notifications, and integrate with the application.
- BQuery: Enables highly scalable data storage, improving analysts' productivity by handling millions of data points and delivering results in seconds.
- DataStudio: Enables the use of different data sources and their integration into a single report, making it easy to create filters and metrics to handle raw data and present it in easy-to-interpret Dashboards.
The challenge
In response to the global pandemic caused by SARS COV-2, known as COVID-19, Sitidoctor sought a solution to provide instant, timely assistance so users could have their questions answered, receive symptom guidance, and obtain early detection of possible infection without exposing themselves to greater risks by traveling to a hospital or clinic.
The solution
Sitidoctor developed a new service module called Free Remote Guidance, comprising a network of approximately 100 volunteers across 8 specialties who made appointment times available to provide users with free symptom guidance through Google Meet teleconferences.
