The challenge
Import historical and day-to-day transactional information held in seven information sources from different providers that serve the Organization through their applications. The objective is to centralize this information using data lake architecture and the resources provided by Google Cloud Platform.
The solution
An integration architecture is being developed for Terpel using Cloud Data Fusion and Kubernetes Engine, providing access to and ingestion of the business's different information sources and their objects. This retrieves historical data and incremental changes to unify and centralize them in the data lake and its storage zones.
Project results
Centralizing and unifying information in the data lake reduced reporting times across the organization's different areas, enabling faster decisions that affect the business. Unified dashboards were developed, which had previously been impossible because of the lack of integration.
Objective
The goal is to centralize information using data lake architecture and the resources provided by Google Cloud Platform, bringing value and order to data in a single source of information available for building reliable analytical models, a data warehouse, and strategic reports for management teams to support decision-making.

Organización Terpel is the national leader in the distribution and marketing of liquid fuels and natural gas for vehicles, and the manufacture of different types of lubricants. We supply fuel to the marine, aviation, and industrial markets.
