It ranks second in the market, covers 93% of the territory, and has a presence in more than 1,000 municipalities, serving 9.9 million customers.
At Banco de Bogotá, we innovate to transform how data serves our customers. Migrating 33 models to a Data Warehouse on Google Cloud reduced processing times by 85% and enabled more agile, flexible analytics. The challenge
The bank's on-premises Data Warehouse needed to evolve to meet new business demands. Its lengthy processes limited the agility required for timely decisions. Its scalability, concurrency, and security architecture also relied on a conventional model, making it necessary to move toward a more flexible approach aligned with modern analytics.
The solution
To modernize Banco de Bogotá's Data Warehouse, we implemented a serverless solution on Google Cloud with BigQuery at its core and tools such as Data Fusion and Cloud Composer for pipelines. We migrated analytical models and integrated with Power BI, secured with Cloud IAM, achieving a scalable, high-performance analytics platform that accelerates decision-making.
Project results
A total of 33 analytical models were successfully migrated to a modern Data Warehouse on Google Cloud, reducing processing times by 85%. This created a robust, scalable, and flexible platform for the bank's new data strategy, improving the use of information and self-service capabilities through tools such as Power BI.
