Solutions for Financial Inclusion
One of these companies is Pagos GDE S.A., which entered the market with its Powwi brand: a new way to manage your money, reducing the use of cash as a traditional payment method and increasing financial inclusion rates. This brings significant challenges in digital and financial education that, if overcome, will substantially improve our customers' and users' quality of life.
Digital and Financial Challenge
Financial institutions generally face major information security challenges to ensure that their users' transactions are reliable, along with the need for system availability and reliability so that users can carry out these transactions at any time and from anywhere.
Constant technological changes are leading financial institutions to increasingly evaluate mechanisms that enable greater operational agility in responding to financial consumers' needs and requirements.
“Technology development in recent years has enabled new capabilities for using information and data. This is particularly interesting for financial institutions, which have discovered new ways to engage with customers and handle their information in recent years.”
said Mónica Patiño, Manager of Servinformación.
Tailored financial transformation
Servinformación designed a cloud-based solution using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ensure user security, provide continuous availability, and enable users to carry out transactions quickly.
Google's solutions for these institutions provide robust security, encrypting information from the beginning to the end of each transaction and preventing leaks of financial consumers' information and data.
The flexibility offered by these cloud management models also allows the company to focus on developing new products within its financial core, as it is currently doing with the service provided through Powwi, which has moved away from managing physical infrastructure.
Servinformación focused on designing a reliable, user-friendly, easily managed solution to support the Powwi brand's market entry and consolidation.
Servinformación worked closely with Pagos GDE S.A to implement best practices for deploying its financial solution on Google Cloud Platform. This specific solution uses Load Balancing in different regions offered by Google Cloud Platform for databases and applications based on Compute Engine. The architecture also includes secure channels through Cloud VPN that interconnect the application, development environments, and third-party providers. To implement this model, GCP Identity Access Management is used for people and Firewall Rules for communications between the different components.
