The project
AGRODAT AI provides information and transfers knowledge to stakeholders in Colombia's agricultural value chain so they can make better decisions based on their role in the sector, location, and products of interest. It also fosters connections among stakeholders to facilitate business generation and the exchange of data and knowledge.
Objective
Provide stakeholders across the agricultural value chain with a set of tools designed to facilitate decision-making aligned with their business requirements, geographic location, and production. At the same time, promote interconnection and collaboration among these stakeholders, encouraging effective synergy across the entire chain.
The challenge
Develop a technology tool for agricultural users that connects participants in the agricultural value chain by collecting, consolidating, predicting, and querying information based on the location of points of interest such as farms and marketplaces.
The solution
Deployment of a solution on Google Cloud, including Autocomplete integration to improve search accuracy, route recommendations to points of interest through Directions, and polygon drawing using Maps tools.
The result
Support digital literacy and decision-making for agricultural sector users through a technology solution that enables the channeling and exchange of relevant information for the sector and fosters business opportunities. To date, there are more than 334,500 registered producers, 9,400 loan applications processed, and 4,611,000 alerts sent from the App.
